Citizen Science
Project, Practices, and Problems

     This workshop is an addition to the conference, Disciplining or Empowering the Citizenry Through Citizen Science, which invites researchers across disciplines to discuss the implications of citizen science as a fast-growing field. Recognizing that scientists in many disciplines have long relied on amateur collaborators, we ask what the continuations and ruptures in this long history of citizen participation in scientific endeavors are and what normative challenges we face in this newest wave. 
 

     In this workshop, prominent local practitioners will share their experiences in conducting citizen science projects, as well as address the thematic questions of the conference.
